PulsesPlusTM batteries: For high current pulse applications

Pulses PlusTM Batteries are ideal for applications requiring long life and high energy under high current pulse requirements. These applications include:

  • emergency roadside assistance systems
  • asset, container and cargo tracking
  • AMR utility meters
  • sonar buoys
  • RFID devices
  • communications equipment
  • emergency & medical devices
 

Pulses Plus batteries are available in a wide variety of sizes from ½ AA to DD and multi-cell packs. Pulses Plus batteries feature bobbin type construction, plus a unique hermetically sealed hybrid layer capacitor, which offers unique performance advantages, including:

  • Higher voltage - 3.6V and 3.9V versus 3.0V
  • Higher capacity - e.g. 19Ah for D size cell (versus 7 Ah for other Lithium batteries). Other sizes at equally higher capacity.
  • Lower self discharge - less than 2% per year (versus 5% per year with spiral wound)
  • Lower ESR (Equivalent Serial Resistance)
  • Widest operating temperature - -40oC to 85oC (versus 0oC to 60oC)
  • Greater safety - in comparison to other Lithium chemistries (LiSO2 and LiMNO2)

Tadiran Pulses Plus batteries come in a variety of configurations (cylindrical cells and battery packs), sizes and capacity ranges to meet virtually any requirement. Pulses Plus batteries are manufactured to ISO 9001 certified standards, are UL-recognized and made with an exclusive glass-to-metal hermetic seal to protect against leakage.
